Carbonatatie

Carbonatatie, soms ook carbonatie genoemd, is een chemische reactie waarbij koolstofdioxide reageert met calciumhydroxide waarbij onoplosbaar calciumcarbonaat wordt gevormd (als neerslag). Hiertoe zal de koolstofdioxide eerst oplossen in water. De 2 reacties zijn als volgt:
